Chaparral Biome

Ecotourism in the Chaparral Resort

We at the Chaparral Resort hope to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

We believe in making the biggest impact with the smallest footprint, and in order to do so engage strict recycling polices and use only sources of sustainable energy to power our resort. In an effort to protect the Chaparral biome from further destruction, our resort was built on nearby desert land that we have since been working to convert back into a Chaparral. We aim to educate our guests on the importance of the Chaparral biome, as well as provide them with a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

In order to fully reach our potential as a promotor of Ecotourism, we have extensively researched the climate, soil, food chains, flora, and fauna of the Chaparral. We have discovered species most threatened and in need of replenishing, and have been working to effectively restore them with help from our knowledge of the region's climate, soil, and natural interactions. Our knowledge of climate in particular has allowed us to use solar power during summer, and wind energy in the winter. By researching the food chains of the area, we can help reintroduce, protect, and ensure the survival of a number of endangered and threatened animal species.

Through our dedicated efforts to restore and protect the California Chaparrals, we hope to provide for both our guests and the environment with our high standards of service.
